Volvo Car Open Tickets On Sale Sept. 9th
Tickets to the Volvo Car Open go on sale to the general public the morning after the trophy ceremony for the newly crowned US Open women’s champion. Beginning at 10am on September 9th, tournament-goers will have the first opportunity to reserve prime seats in the Family Circle Stadium for the 42nd Cup, March 29th – April 6th, 2014.
The first 100 patrons to purchase tickets will receive a signature 2014 Volvo Car Open t-shirt.
The Volvo Car Open strives to make the fan experience greater every year, and 2014 will be no exception with a new digital drawboard and enhanced in-stadium entertainment.
“We want to create history on our courts – from being the first women’s tennis event broadcast on network television, to Venus and Serena’s match-up last year,” said Bob Moran, tournament director and general manager. “And we want our fans to be there to witness every minute.”
Original to the 2014 tournament is a new Flex Pass; giving locals the chance to customize their Volvo Car Open experience. Fans can choose to attend any three sessions from Monday, March 31st – Thursday, April 3rd in 300 level seating. This package offers tournament-goers the ability to choose dates and times based on their personal schedules, as well as tournament order of play.
“It's important for us to continue to have the grassroots support from our local Charleston fans," said Moran. “So, this year we listened to fan suggestions and created a new ticket package that offers the flexibility to attend the Cup during the sessions that work best for them.”
Also new to 2014, the Volvo Car Open’s 300 level tickets will become General Admission. This shift allows guests to choose their seat anywhere in the upper tier based on a first-come, first-serve basis. General Admission tickets are $25 Monday, March 31st – Thursday, April 3rd, and increase to $35 for finale weekend.
